Best Classes Evaluation and Criteria

Class Changing Not Necessary Until Chapter 11

Fire Emblem Engage Reclassing

On Normal Difficulty, it's better to stick to the default/base classes of units until the mid-game (Chapters 11 through 16). Second Seals are quite limited at least until Chapter 16 and, even then, you'll also have to grind Bond Levels and unlock proficiencies from your Emblems.

It's best to wait until the late game of Chapter 16 onwards, where Second Seals are more abundant.

▶︎ Class Change Guide: When to Promote

Advanced Classes for Noble Units are Best

Fire Emblem Engage - Celine

For the Noble units, Advanced Classes are best, particularly for the units that join in the later game and espcially if those classes come with an S in Weapon Proficiency.

Celine's Advanced Class Vidame was great earlier on, but in continuous testing, she was immediately replaced with Ivy, due the class not having an S in Weapon Proficiency.

Pretty sure a lot of these characters they just threw a random class as their 'best' without any consideration. Lapis as a General for instance when her kit is suited for SPD. Fogado too, with 49 Speed and the right emblem you can double Griffin Knights which makes up for his weaker Str plus his Mag isn't bad so he can use the Radiant Bow and Levin Sword effectively. Hitting 49 speed and access to bows is unique and useful wasting him as Warrior is a joke. Also no character's best is a Beserker.

Fogado not Cupido is a waste.
