You can get stat boosts at the Training Yard in Fire Emblem Engage. Here's how to do the Strength Training minigame to increase your Strength, HP, and Dexterity and how to unlock higher difficulties.
List of Contents
Training | Rules | Effect |
---|---|---|
Push-Ups Use good timing to stop the bar at the right position. |
Speed will increase. Miss 3 times and it's over. | Alear's Strength may get an increase in the next battle. |
Sit-Ups Mash the button to fill the gauge. |
Mash fast for a high score. Ends if the gauge is empty. | Alear's HP may get an increase in the next battle. |
Squats Move both sticks in rhythm according to the prompts. |
Move following the arrows. Miss 3 times and it's over. | Alear's Dexterity may get an increase in the next battle. |
There are 3 types of Strength Training you can accomplish at the Training Yard; push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. Each type has a corresponding stat that may receive a buff after completion.
Strength Training has 4 difficulty levels for each of its excerises. Higher difficulty levels sometimes provide higher stat bonuses and give out more Bond Fragments even if you fail them. The last difficulty, Iron Muscle, doesn't have any goals except to beat your previous record, so it doesn't give out any stats or Bond Fragments.
If you've been bonding with Sommie, you can have it as a training partner! Sommie will negate misses, giving you more chances based on how close you are, so bring it along for harder difficulties.
▶︎ What is Sommie? Can you Customize Sommie?
Difficulty | Unlock Requirement |
---|---|
Normal | Clear Chapter 4 |

Strength Training is unlocked after clearing Chapter 4. Higher difficulties are unlocked based on your progress through the story,
At the Training Yard in the Somniel, you can do Strength Training for a chance to give either Strength, HP, or Dexterity a stat buff in the next battle only. Strength Training exercises are minigames with time and rhythm-based mechanics that require you to hit certain buttons within a given window.
