You can engrave weapons with the stats of Emblems in Fire Emblem Engage. Learn about the best engravings per weapon, engraving stat changes, and how to engrave weapons with Emblems at the Smithy.

Most weapons won't go wrong with increasing their Might, so engraving either Beginnings or Holy are good starts for boosting stats without drawbacks. Genealogy can be considered an alternative for characters with higher Bld as they're less likely to suffer a speed penalty. Other weapons can benefit more from increased Hit, Crit, or Avo even at the cost of some Mt.
Knife users like Thieves want to avoid getting hit at all, so boosting their Avoid with the Dawn engraving is worth it. If the Might penalty is too much, the Awakening engraving is a good alternative which also boosts Hit for inaccurate weapons.
Weapons like the Killing Edge or Killer Axe will benefit from an even higher Crit rate, making them deal triple damage more consistently with the Fates engrave. The Fire engraving provides similar buffs while lowering Weight, but it's only available much later in the story.

Engraving a weapon with the power of an Emblem provides a significant buff to weapon stats such as Might (Attack), Weight (Speed), Hit Rate, Critical rate, Avoidance, and Critical Dodge rate. The boost is unique to each Emblem, with each Emblem offering a different combination of stat changes. It's also possible for one or more stats to be decreased, as other stats receive a bigger increase.
Once engraved with an Emblem, the weapon will be denoted with the Emblem's seal beside its icon.
You can engrave weapons at the Smithy in the Somniel. Among all the weapons currently equipped to your units, select the one you wish to engrave with the power of an Emblem. It costs anywhere from 100 to 1,000 Bond Fragments to engrave a weapon, depending on the type of weapon.
Additionally, each Emblem can only be engraved to 1 weapon a time, so you have to choose the unit and weapon carefully. Excluding DLC Emblems, there are 13 Emblems to select from.
