Sync Emblem With Unit

Fire Emblem Engage Sync with Ring

Select a unit to equip the Emblem Ring to. When equipped with the Emblem Ring, your unit's Combat Stats and Basic Stats are increased. Additionally, your unit receives special skill bonuses known as Synchro Skills. You'll know that your unit is synced with an Emblem Ring when the Emblem hero appears to fight alongside your unit.

Engage with Emblem

Fire Emblem Engage Emblem Ring Engage

A separate mechanic from syncing, engaging with an Emblem fuses the Emblem hero with your unit. You can engage with an Emblem only once your Engage Meter has filled up during battle. Once engaged, you'll unlock Engage Weapons, Engage Skills, and Engage Attacks for only three turns before reverting back.

Each Emblem Ring offers unique Engage Skills, ranging from attack powerups that are used in combat to special abilities that allow you to traverse or alter the battlefield to your advantage.

How to Inherit Skills for Emblem Rings

Visit the Ring Chamber at the Somniel

Fire Emblem Engage Ring Chamber

In the Somniel home base, visit the Ring Chamber in order to view the Emblem Rings you've collected on your playthrough thus far. Here, you can communicate with the Emblems and polish the Emblem Rings in order to deepen your bonds with the Emblems. Deepening your bonds with the Emblems allows you to inherit more skills from them.

Purchase Skills with Skill Points

Fire Emblem Engage Inherit Skills

Interact with the Central Pedestal of the chamber and select Inherit Skills. Here, you'll see a list of your units and their inherited skills. Select the unit you'd like to inherit a skill from an Emblem, then cycle through the Emblems to find the skill you'd like to purchase. You then purchase the skill with SP (Skill Points), ranging anywhere from 250 to 2,500.

From the released footage, it seems that each unit can only equip a maximum of three inherited skills at a time. Note that, when equipped, your unit retains these inherited skills even when not equipped with the Emblem Ring that they purchased the skill from.

Two Emblem Bracelets Found in DLC

Fire Emblem Engage DLC Emblems
Launching alongside the base game, Wave 1 of the Expansion Pass DLC adds two Emblem Bracelets that contain four additional Emblems. The Expansion Pass is paid additional content that doesn't affect the main story.

One Emblem Bracelet contains the Emblems of Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude. This bracelet is acquired in the DLC right after viewing the event on Lookout Ridge at the Somniel home base. The other Emblem Bracelet contains the Emblem of Tiki. This bracelet can be acquired after completing Divine Paralogue: The Ancestor.
