Celica | Lindon | ・Warp Ragnarok allows these strong immobile units to reposition to more advantageous positions. ・Echo also allows these users to strike more times than they are usually able to. Also good with: Celine and Ivy |
Micaiah | Jean | ・You get Jean at a low level, so use Micaiah's Great Sacrifice to level him up quickly. ・Jean has excellent stat growth due to Expertise, which is why leveling him up is advantageous. ・Micaiah compliments Jean being geared towards the support role. |
Roy | Alfred | ・Roy's Advance grants Alfred, a Cavalry unit, even more mobility. ・Roy's Hold Out can make Alfred tank more hits as a frontline unit. ・Roy's inherited skills could buff Alfred's Str and Sword attacks. Also good with: Diamant |
Leif | Jade | ・Leif's Synchro Skills help frontline units tank more hits. ・Jade gets +5 Defense from Leif's Engage Skill. ・Leif's Bld+ skills could even help get Jade to launch follow-up attack Also good with: Alear, Zelkov (for gold farming only) |
Lyn | Alcryst | ・Alcryst's decent Speed stat can be boosted by Speedtaker ・Lyn's Alacrity skill can then make Alcryst attack twice before an enemy counterattack. ・Alcryst's bow attacks can get buffed greatly with Lyn's bond effects. Also good with: Kagetsu, Yunaka |
Lucina | Lapis | ・Synchro Skills makes use of adjacent allies and Chain Attacks, the specialties of the Backup Unit Type ・Lapis can be promoted to Advanced Classes that give her great movement as a Backup. |
Ike | Diamant | ・Diamant can tank a lot of damage and Ike's Wrath skill can turn the HP lost into Crit stat buffs. ・Ike's Laguz Friend could also make Diamant an unstoppable frontline unit. Also good with: Jade, Louis |
Byleth | Hortensia | ・As a Flying unit unhindered by terrain, Hortensia's mobility maximizes the support provided by Byleth's skills.
Also good with: Chloe, Jean |
Corrin | Yunaka | ・Yunaka as a covert unit allows her to make her own evasion tile. ・Works excellently with Yunaka's passive to dodge enemy units and unleash critical strikes after critical strikes. Also good with: Hortensia, Veyle |
Eirika | Mauvier | ・Eirika's Engage Attacks deals +50% with Mauvier's Cavalry typing ・Lunar Brace Synchro Skill makes it less risky for Mauvier to take the frontline/offensive approach. Also good with: Kagetsu, Merrin |

You're free to experiment with Emblem pairings! There aren't any exactly standout pairings between Emblem and unit, especially given enough class change and the fact that you can inherit Emblem skills and use them without having to equip the Emblem Ring.
Diamant with both Ike's Wrath and Roy's Hold Out as inherited skills is far better than if he were equipped with just 1 Emblem Ring. What's important is to choose a unit already strong from the outset.
Note that Chapter 11 has a turning point in the story that'll force you to adjust how your party is composed and who is equipped with an Emblem Ring.
Take note of the emblem's capabilities then check your own unit's skills and stats. Which skills can the Emblem do? Does their attack have bonuses with the unit's type? Does the unit's attack allow their engage skill to utilize its full damage? Analyze each unit accordingly and pair them with emblems that can allow them to go further with the emblem's skills.
You want to make sure that the emblem alligns with the unit's stat specialties! Does the unit have high armor? Putting emblems that make use of defensive skills such as Ike or Lucina may work wonders for that character or are they a character with low Speed? Having Lyn partner with that unit may allow that unit go from being double attacked to be the one using their own double attacks on the enemy!
Is your unit struggling to defeat lance users due to being a sword unit? Giving them emblems that allow them to use Axes can allow these units to defeat enemies that counter their own weapon types! Alternatively, you can also add more healers to your party by giving your offensive units an emblem that allows them to use staves and now heal your allies on the frontline.

Players would prefer to raise the bond level with emblems before the 11th Chapter, because the spoiler thing you may know about the storyline. Also, many DLCs tips here on Game8.co are based as you have base emblems like Sigurd or Celica, so as I commented first, you would prefer to raise the bond of emblems and characters also to do the DLC story before this chapter. However, if you're a player who wants challenge, just go ahead. I missed a lot Sigurd or Celica acting on the DLC chapters.
