Participate in training and practice battles at the Arena in Fire Emblem Engage. Learn about how to train at the Arena and what the difference is between Standard Training and Emblem Training.
List of Contents
In the Arena at the Somniel, you can take part in Standard Training or Emblem Training. Standard Training allows you to fight allies in mock battles for experience points and Skill Points (SP). Emblem Training allows you to take part in mock battles against Emblems in order to raise your Bond Level with that Emblem.
▶︎ Things to Do at the Somniel
Types of Training | Features |
---|---|
Standard | ・Training with random units ・Increases EXP and SP ・No cost ・Limited number of uses |
Emblem | ・Training with Emblem ・Increases Bond Level ・Costs Bond Fragments ・No limit |
In Standard Training, you fight random opponents to have your unit gain experience points or Skill Points (SP). There is no cost to Standard Training, but there is a limit to the number of times you can do Standard Training, so prioritize the units you want or need to train.
You can only do Standard Training up to 3 times after every battle, so it's not the most lucrative method to farm EXP or SP, but it's still recommended you maximize the 3 uses in between battles.
The enemy your chosen unit will fight will always be fixed so you can save and load your progress and choose the necessary unit to beat the said enemy in the Arena. This will increase your overall Experience gain.
The SP you are rewarded with at the end of Standard Training can be used by your unit to inherit skills from Emblem Rings. You can inherit skills at the Ring Chamber in the Somniel.
It costs Bond Fragments to take part in Emblem Training, but there is no limit to the number of times you can do Emblem Training. You deepen your bond with the Emblem that you fight with during Emblem Training, so choose the Emblem carefully.
All Emblems | |||
---|---|---|---|
Marth | Sigurd | Celica | Byleth |
Corrin | Lyn | Roy | Eirika |
Leif | Micaiah | Lucina | Ike |
You can collect Bond Fragments by talking to your allies after a battle is completed. Bond Fragments are needed not only for Emblem Training but for creating Bond Rings too.

Are you sure about getting SP in the Arena? The last few times I used it I noticed that my characters were gaining EXP, but not SP. This is consistent with other symptoms indicating that units fighting in the Arena do so without any emblem or bond rings.
