Fire Emblem Engage Tower of Trials

The Tower of Trials can be found in the Somniel and is unlocked in Chapter 4. This is where players are able to tackle various challenges in both online and offline modes.

Outrealm Trials

Fire Emblem Engage Outrealm Trial

The Outrealm Trials is an online asynchronous Player vs Player mode where an AI controls the opposing player's party. In this mode, you create your own map layout and share it with other players so they can try and beat it with their own party. You can also challenge another player's map using your own units and fight against the AI.

This mode also requires an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Spirits of the Fallen

Spirits of the Fallen

When you are connected to the Internet and have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription, Spirits of the Fallen may appear in some stages. They spawn on spaces where other players' units have commonly died. Having a unit end its turn on the tile give you certain rewards like EXP, Bond Levels, and items.

Profile Card and Photo Mode

Fire Emblem Engage Phot Shoot

In the Records Hall, you will be able to do photo shoots with your units, as well as customize your player card. Other players will see your Profile Card when interacting with you online. The Records Hall can be unlocked in Chapter 6.

Is Fire Emblem Engage Multiplayer?

Online Co-Op in Relay Trials

The Relay Trials is a new online cooperative mode where players need to work together to complete various challenges and receive rewards. You will need to have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription and a Relay Ticket on hand to start a new Relay Trial.

No Local Co-op and Multiplayer Features

Fire Emblem Engage Multiplayer

Unlike the Fire Emblem Warriors games, the mainline series game Fire Emblem Engage does not support any local co-op or multiplayer features. On the official Nintendo website, Fire Emblem Engage is listed as a Single System (1) game title.

Is Nintendo Online Required?
