Quick Battles don't affect your matchmaking rating on Random, so feel free to challenge them without worrying about losing rating.

How to Custom Battle Outrealm Trials

Create Your Own Maps in Edit Map

Fire Emblem Engage Edit Map

Edit Map allows you to create your own battlefield and install terrain and defensive units. You can place terrain such as ruins, walls, tiles, and artilleries. Each terrain type has its own maximum number of installations.

Remember that units are acting defensively

Be reminded that you're installing units for defense, not for offense. It's best to place units with strong defensive qualities (high Def and Res), rather than strong offensive qualities (high Mov). However, there are pre-set tactics your units can follow, just like with Auto-Battle.

Battle Approach Description
Hold Hold the starting position.
Defend Target enemies that come within range.
Attack Aggressively pursue foes in range, weakest to strongest.
Group A Group A takes action when foes come within their range.
Group B Group B takes action when foes come within their range.
Group C Group C takes action when foes come within their range.

Don't forget to Save Map

Fire Emblem Engage Save Map

When you're done setting up the map, make sure to always Save Map via the + menu. If you choose to finish without saving, the map you created will disappear and you will not be able to proceed to the battle.

Players Can Challenge Your Saved Map

After saving and publishing your map, players can now challenge your map. Once players have fought in your map, you can check View Results to watch a replay, see if they won, and claim your rewards.

You can only have 1 map saved at a time.

Affects Matchmaking Rating

Custom Battles' battlefields are made up of your map connected with the other player's created map. On Random selection, your matchmaking rating will increase if you win battles and decrease if you lose battles.

Rating only affected on Random
