In Fire Emblem Engage, the yellow exclamation mark shows that an enemy unit has a Killer weapon and increased Crit damage. Read on to learn about the purple and yellow exclamation marks, effects, as well as other warning signs and battle symbols explained.
List of Contents
The yellow exclamation mark denoted on enemy units is a warning sign that they have a Killer Weapon. Killer weapons add at least 30% crit to physical attacks, so be wary that a counterattack from these enemies could potentially eliminate your unit.
It's best to attack these units if you can guarantee either Break or a one-hit KO.

The purple exclamation mark denotes if the enemy unit has a weapon advantage over your Unit Type. For example, an enemy unit wielding a bow will have a purple exclamation mark if you've selected your Flying unit. Effectiveness over Unit Type is separate from the Weapon Triangle.
Only the purple exclamation mark will appear if the enemy has both a weapon advantage and a Killer Weapon equipped. If a unit has a purple exclamation mark, it's still better to check if they also have a Killer Weapon equipped, as it won't be denoted with a yellow warning sign.
The purple skull means that a unit has the poison status effect. It can appear on both enemy units and your own units. Poisoned units receive extra damage when attacked and can only be cured with Antitoxin or the Restore staff.
The green pouch denotes that an enemy unit is holding an item. Routing this unit will allow you to obtain the item for yourself.
Additionally, some named units (most chapter bosses) have a Revival Stone that fully restore their HP once it reaches 0. You cannot obtain Revival Stones from enemy units.
