It's also possible to obtain Crystals by completing Relay Trials at the Tower of Trials. The amount of Crystals you're rewarded with is relatively small, as you're also rewarded with Ingredients and Gifts.
You will need to spend 1 Relay Ticket to do Relay Trials. You receive Relay Tickets once every 24 hours and when you scan Fire Emblem amiibos at the amiibo Gazebo.
▶︎ How to Get and Use Relay Tickets
The most efficient way to farm Crystals is to auto-battle the Tempest Trials at higher difficulties. With Tempest Trials, you can select the type of Crystal you'll be rewarded with (via map selection), so there's less room for RNG.
You'll want to battle at higher difficulties (level 40, if your unit is maxed out) to have the best chance of receiving the most Crystals.
1 | Select the map that gives the Crystal you want and set the difficulty level in the 35-40 range. |
---|---|
2 | Select your best units for the map. |
3 | Auto-battle with either Advance (balanced approach) or Charge (aggressive approach), depending on your unit selection. |
4 | Always skip animations via the + button. |
5 | Repeat steps 1 to 4 until the 3rd map. |
6 | On the 3rd map, prioritize killing the enemy leader, since killing that single unit is the condition to win. |
7 | Receive the rewards, then repeat. |
Crystals are used to augment an Emblem's Engage Weapon at the Ring Chamber. Doing so will make them stronger! Thus, you'll have an easier time clearing battlefields.
Raising your Bond Level with an Emblem will allow you more Augmentation capacity on the Emblem's Engage Weapon. However, there is a limited capacity of how many augmentations you can add.
