How to Recruit Anna

Available During the Paralogue: Mysterious Merchant

Anna can be recruited during the Paralogue: Mysterious Merchant. You can locate Anna inside the middle chest south of the battlefield and have Alear talk to her to recruit her early on. You will know Anna has been recruited once her health turns from green to blue.

If you were not able to talk to Anna or open her chest for the duration of the battle, she will still ask to join Alear's ranks in a cutscene before departing. You can only recruit Anna by completing the Paralogue, so it is highly recommended to do Paralogues in between Story Chapters.

Recommended to Recruit Anna in Battle

We recommend you recruit Anna during battle instead of after the battle to add more allies to your party. You can only bring 8 units to battle, so recruiting Anna will add one more unit to your party and help fight the bandits.

Although Anna starts off as an Axe Fighter, her stat growths actually favor a Magic-oriented build as opposed to a Physical one.

While it does take some time, it is recommended to reclass her to a Magic user instead in order to capitalize on her high Mag, Spd, and Dex growth stat, making her one of the strongest Mages in the game.

Anna's Speed growths rival even Alear's, making her a good candidate for skills like Perceptive+ and Alacrity++.

Speedtaker takes things a step further, eventually guaranteeing triggers of Perceptive+ and Alacrity++. Resonance+ gives a nice damage boost in exchange for a negligible HP cost.

Because of Anna's absurd Mag growth, she can viably be played in a magic-oriented class. As such, Micaiah's Silence Ward and access to different forms of healing can turn Anna into an effective healer.

Alternatively, Celica provides Anna with damage in the form of Tome Precision, Resonance, and Mag +. Additionally, access to Echo and Warp Ragnarok allow Anna to cover a large area while dealing with multiple foes.

Anna Paired Ending and Romance

Pact Ring with Anna

After clearing Chapter 22, players unlock The Connector Paralogue and can subsequently unlock the Pact Ring. This essentially acts as Fire Emblem Engage's S-Rank Support and romance route.

Alear can then give the ring to Anna once they have attained an A-Rank in support to view a special cutscene, and unlock a page in the reference about the life they lived together.

Anna's Memento

Anna's handmade Sweethearts Day pendant. She gave me this high-quality piece on the day we became business partners.

Apart from obtaining an exclusive ending with Anna after giving the Pact Ring, players can also head to Alear's room and check the small table next to their bed to find a memento from her.

While the memento serves no purpose in combat whatsoever unlike the Merc Whistle in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, it further contextualizes the paired ending selected by the player.
