Engage with Emblems in order to achieve fusion with the Emblem Rings in Fire Emblem Engage. Learn more about how to fill up the Engage Meter and the different Engage Weapons, Engage Attacks, and Engage Skills of the Emblem heroes.

How to Engage With Emblem Rings

Equip Unit With Emblem Ring

First, you need to sync your unit with an Emblem Ring. While in battle, select a unit and equip them with an Emblem Ring. You'll know that your unit is synced with an Emblem Ring when the Emblem hero appears to fight alongside your unit.

Fill Up Engage Meter

Fire Emblem Engage Engage Meter

Once equipped with an Emblem Ring, an icon of your Emblem will appear with a circular Engage Meter around your unit. This meter will gradually fill up during the course of the battle. Once filled up, you can Engage with your Emblem by selecting Engage and pressing A.

Engage Only Lasts for 3 Turns

Engage only last for 3 turns. After which, you need to fill up your engage meter to use it again. The meter can be filled up by attacking, getting hit, casting spells, or standing on an Engage meter tile.

Use Engage Abilities and Bonuses

Fire Emblem Engage Engage Skills
Engaging makes your unit fuse with the Emblem, which unlocks unique Engage Skills, Engage Weapons, and Engage Attacks for your unit. The fusion lasts for only three turns, after which you'll have to wait for the Engage meter to charge back up again.

Each Emblem Ring offers different Engage Skills, ranging from powered-up attacks to special abilities that help alter the battlefield to your favor. Since each unit comes with different type advantages and disadvantages, you can find the strategic combination of unit and Emblem in order to maximize the Engage mechanic.

Emblems Also Come With a Synchro Skill

Equipping your unit with an Emblem Ring also rewards them with a Synchro Skill that is unique to the Emblem your unit is paired with. Unlike Engage Skills, this skill doesn't require your unit and an Emblem to be engaged to activate.

Gallop

Movement +5. Movement increased by an addition 2 when used by a Cavalry unit.

Adaptable

Automatically counters an enemy attack with the superior weapon type if one is in the unit's inventory including ranged attacks.

Rise Above

Grants Lvl+5.

Call Doubles

Creates four illusory doubles that can make chain attacks with unit.

Sacred Twins

Activates both Erika's and Ephram's Sync Skills simultaneously. Lunar Brace changes to Eclipse Brace and Gentility turns to Blue Skies for all allies.

Laguz Friend

Reduces Avo to 0, but halves all damage taken. Damage reduced by an addition 10% when used by Dragon characters.

Augment

Grants staff range +5 and area of effect +1.

Bonded Shield

80% chance to nullify the damage from the first enemy attack dealt to adjacent ally units. 100% chance if used by Qi Adept units.

Dreadful Aura

Prevents the enemy unit and adjacent foes from moving for 1 turn if unit initiates combat.

Instruct

Buffs certain stats of all ally units with in a 2 space radius for 1 turn depending on combat style.

Attuned

If unit initiates combat and defeats foe, engage partner +4 to all seven basic stats while engaged.

Attacks 7 times consecutively at 30% damage. Deals an additional 2 attacks when used by a Dragon unit.

Warp Ragnarok

Warp near an attackable enemy unit within 10 spaces before unleashing an AoE magic attack. Warp range increases by 5 when used by a Flying unit.

Override

Use to attack and move through a line of adjacent foes. Sword/lance only.

Quadruple Hit

Unleases a sword, lance, axe and bow combo with a high chance to to Break the enemy unit. 100% Break chance when used by Qi Adept Units.

Blazing Lion

Use to attack adjacent foe and an area 3 spaces wide. Target area and the 2 rows beyond it are set on fire. Sword only.

Astra Storm

Range 10. Unleases five consecutive attacks dealing 30% damage. Range increases by an additional 10 when used by Covert units.

Twin Strike

Deals sword and lance damage to an adjacent enemy unit. Deals Increaed damage to Corrupted units. Increases damage by 150% when used by a Cavalry unit.

Great Aether

Use to grant Def/Res+5, but unit can't counter for 1 turn. Next turn, attack a 2-space area, heal HP=30% of damage dealt. Sword/axe only.

Great Sacrifice

Use to restore HP to all allies, even to those not under the players control. After use, unit's HP=1.

All For One

Use to make a sword attack against an adjacent foe. All allies within 2 spaces chain attack.

Torrential Roar

Attacks 3 spaces directly in front and adds a water terrain decreasing Avo.

Goddess Dance

Allows all adjacent units to perform another turn and buffs all their basic stats.
