Players can inflict daze with weapons that have the Daze Buildup stat in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on to learn how daze works and how to inflict daze faster using engravings and abilities that apply daze.

Equip Weapons with Daze Buildup

Equip Weapons with Daze Buildup

Players can inflict daze on enemies by repeatedly attacking them with a weapon that has a Daze Buildup stat. Both Yasuke and Naoe will have access to weapons that can Daze enemies.

Fill Up the Orange Meter to Inflict Daze

Daze Meter Under Health Bar

An orange, circular meter will show up under an enemy's health bar when hitting them with a Daze buildup weapon. When the meter is filled, enemies will become Dazed.

Dazed enemies miss their attacks and cannot block. When the meter runs out, the affliction will be removed, allowing you to re-apply it if needed.

Unlock Abilities that Inflict Daze

Unlock Abilities with Daze Buildup

Naoe has access to abilities on her Kusarigama that inflict daze on enemies, such as Hard Fall and Dazed at Knowledge Rank 5.

Meanwhile, Yasuke can unlock Greater Shockwave for his Kanabo at Knowledge Rank 4, and Concussive Bullets, an ammo type that inflicts daze, at the same Knowledge Rank.

Players can also apply engravings to weapons that alter affliction buildup. One particular Engraving turns all affliction buildup into daze, and can be bought from a merchant in Yoshino, Yamamoto.

Speak to Heiji to Upgrade Weapons

Players can upgrade their weapons at a forge to improve the Daze Buildup stat. Go to your hideout and speak to Heiji to upgrade equipment and manage Engravings.

Enemies Miss Attacks and Cannot Defend Themselves

Dazed Enemies Miss Attacks and Cannot Defend Themselves

Enemies inflicted with Daze will miss their attacks, and be unable to block your strikes. This allows the player to wind up charged attacks to deal massive damage, or switch to another weapon to quickly apply other afflictions, such as Poison and Bleed.
