In the System Menu, head to the Options screen and into the Gameplay Tab. Right below the Input Mode, select the Difficulty Tuning window.

Turn on Guaranteed Assassinations, located on the last row.

Assassinate Always Instant Kills

Samurai Daisho Assassinate Kill

Successful stealth assassinations guarantee an instant kill, even on enemies with high HP such as Samurai Daishos. Turning this on gives slick Assassination opportunities even when taking on high-level targets.

Are Kunai Also impacted by Guaranteed Assassinations? As in, do they also become guaranteed 1-shot-kills, or are they restricted to their upgrade status?
