Pre-order Bonus DLC: Thrown to the Dogs Quest
Thrown to the Dogs is a bonus quest available for free at launch if you pre-order any version of the game. This quest involves the player helping a loyal dog avenge their late master.
Thrown to the Dogs Quest Walkthrough
Deluxe Edition DLC: Sekiryu Packs and Mastery Points
you can obtain the Sekiryu Dual and Sekiryu Hideout packs by purchasing either the Deluxe Edition, Collector's Edition or the Ubisoft+ Premium Edition.
The Sekiryu Dual Pack contains new weapons and gear sets for Naoe and Yasuke while the Sekiryu Hideout Pack contains ornaments used to customize your own hideout.
1st Story Drop DLC: The Works of Luis Frois
The first story drop DLC was released on May 6, 2025 as part of AC Shadows' Title Update 1.04. Complete the mission, The Path He Walks (after assassinating the Fox) to unlock this quest in Azuchi (Omi province). This is purely a story quest since your only rewards will be XP and more lore about Luis Frois and the Jesuits.
Story Expansion DLC: Claws of Awaji
If you pre-ordered Assassin's Creed Shadows, then you should have get access to the Claws of Awaji Expansion on September 16, 2025. Players who don't have access to it can purchase it as a separate DLC via their platform's respective digital storefronts.

It has been officially confirmed that the Claws of Awaji Expansion will release on September 16, 2025. This new story DLC will introduce an entirely new region that promises 10+ hours of new content to play through.
Claws of Awaji is Set in the Island of Awaji
The Claws of Awaji DLC is the only DLC announced so far for Assassin's Creed Shadows. The story will be set on the island of Awaji, which is beyond the Osaka Bay. This location will be a new open world region separate from the base game's map.
The main pair, Naoe and Yasuke, will travel to this new region in order to find a lost treasure. However, this will not be an easy task as they are hunted by new dangerous foes, the Sanzoku Ippa, within the island.

Claws of Awaji also features the Bō staff, a new weapon type that Naoe can wield.
New Skills and Gear
The island of Awaji doesn't just contain enemies hunting you but also new gear that you can equip, as well as new skills and abilities that you can utilize to fend for yourself.
