Way of the Blacksmith Walkthrough
Find and Rescue Heiji in Sakai
Heiji can be found in Sakai, a port town in the southwest of the Izumi Settsu region. He is located east of the Port of Sakai, in a small lot surrounded by hostiles you must eliminate to rescue him.
There are five enemies around Heiji, and you can take them out one by one stealthily from behind if you approach from the north side of the lot.
Speak to Heiji
After defeating all the enemies around Heiji, speak with him. He will automatically join you and return to the Hideout once your conversation ends.
Build the Forge at the Hideout
Return to the Hideout and enter Build mode. The Forge will be unlocked and can be built in any open space, costing minimal Hideout Resources. It costs 40 crops, 30 wood, and 10 minerals to build the Level 1 Forge.
After building it, a cutscene with Heiji, Tomiko, and Naoe will play. Once it ends, you can visit the Forge to speak with Heiji and upgrade your weapons, or add Engravings as you level up the Forge.
Way of the Blacksmith Rewards
Unlock the Hideout Forge
Completing Way of the Blacksmith unlocks the Hideout Forge, an essential building to get early. It allows you to upgrade your weapons, armor, and other equipment, increasing damage, boosting HP, and providing various other buffs.
As you upgrade the Forge using Hideout resources, you'll unlock the ability to add Engravings and, later, their Legendary variants. You can also enhance your equipment to higher levels with a better Forge.
