Meet Ibuki
Ibuki is located outside of Hijiyama Fort, at the northern part of Hijiyama in the Iga region. Ibuki will ask you to assist him in rescuing Kyobei, who is held captive in Hijiyama Fort.
You'll choose between two dialogue options, which don't really affect the story or gameplay, but you can choose “I am here to help” if you want to make the dialogue more flirty. Otherwise, choose “Maybe you're overthinking it”.
Help Kyobei
Enter Hijiyama Fort and defeat the enemies and continue on until you reach the highest area of the fort. There, you'll see Kyobei about to be executed.
Choice: Ask Kyobei to Fight or Not
You'll be given a choice, either Fight with us, Kyobei or Kyobei is too weak, choosing the first option will make Kyobei fight along side you.
If you choose Kyobei is too weak and also be unable to save him in the following fight, you have a chance to miss out on Ibuki's recruitment.
Defeat Nakatomi
Nakatomi plans to execute Kyobei, and you have a limited time to stop it. The key strategy is to focus on defeating Nakatomi first before dealing with the other enemies.
Meet Ibuki Again
Head to Ibuki's location, a cliff east of Kashiwara Kakurega and southeast of Hijiyama Fort. During the conversation, you can choose “Your mind works in beautiful ways” for some romantic dialogue.
Eventually you can ask Ibuki to join the league by choosing You don't have to be alone, which will grant you a new ally and unlock the final part of Ibuki's questline, Putting Down Roots.

Homecoming Rewards
Players can Recruit and Romance Ibuki
Players can recruit Ibuki if they successfully protect Kyobei and select the correct dialogue options during the Ambush Interrupted quest. Once recruited, Ibuki becomes an ally who can be summoned in battle to assist with combat.
After completing the Homecoming quest, players will be rewarded with 1,000 experience points (EXP). This will unlock the Putting Down Roots quest, where players can romance Ibuki.
