Godai Shinobi Locations and Rewards
The Godai Shinobi is a quest board in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows) where you have to kill shinobi located in Omi and Iga provinces. Read on to learn how to unlock the Godai Shinobi quest board and see a list of all Godai Shinobi targets, their rewards, and locations on an interactive map.

 | Zoom In / Zoom Out Allows you to zoom in and out of the interactive map by pressing the + and - buttons. |

 | Show / Hide Acquired Pins Use these buttons to toggle the visibility of map pins you marked as "acquired". |
 | Search Mode Toggle This button will display a search bar which you can use to search for an individual pin by its name. |
 | Icon Mode Toggle In Search Mode, this button will toggle you back to Icon Mode, removing the search bar and displaying the icons again. |
 | Reset Marked Pins Use this option to reset all map pins marked that you've marked as acquired. Confirm the prompt that appears to reset all marked pins. |
 | Counter Tracks the number of pins you have of a certain type. The pin type shown is set to the page and currently cannot be changed; however, all pin type counters can be viewed by clicking the checklist icon on the right side. |
 | View All Counters This icon is found on the right side of the Counter. When a map has more than one pin type, click this icon to see Counters for all pin types. |
All Godai Shinobi Target Locations

| The Godai of Water |  Spawns in after picking up the letter next to some dead peasants at the Mangetsuji Temple in Omi. |
| The Godai of Fire |  Found in a small camp to the north of the Hiei Foothill viewpoint in Omi. This viewpoint is marked by the burning temple on top of Mount Hiei. |
| The Godai of Earth |  Found in a small lumber camp near the steps south of the Otaniinari Shrine in Iga. Head over to the Hijiyama sub-region to find this shrine. |
| The Godai of Void |  Located in a cave at the northern base of the Daikichiji Temple in Omi. This ruined temple will be found in the Goshiki Outlands sub-region. |
| The Godai of Wind |  Found in Shimagahara Valley at the Otogi Pass sub-region in the Iga province (northwest of the Aekuni Kakurega). |
All Godai Shinobi Rewards
5000 XP and Assassination Ability Unlocks
Completing the Godai Shinobi objective board will net you 5000 XP (5500 XP if you built a Tera back in your Hideout), as well as the following ability unlocks for Naoe and Yasuke:
- Assassination Damage III: Naoe removes 1 additional Health Segment (for a total of 5 segments) with Assassinations.
- Assassination Damage II: Yasuke removes 2 additional Health Segments (for a total of 7 segments) when using Brutal Assassination.
XP, Mastery Points, Weapons, and Mon from Each Target
Aside from the full objective board completion rewards, you will also get unique rewards for killing each of the Godai Shinobi assassination targets as shown below:

How to Unlock the Godai Shinobi
Read the Letter titled An Open Invitation in Omi
The Godai Shinobi quest will become available as soon as you finish Mibuno Showdown and unlock Yasuke. Head over to the Mangetsuji Temple in the province of Omi. You'll find it on the western coast of Lake Biwa by following the coastal road to the north of Sakamoto.
Once you arrive in Mangetsuji Temple, look for the corpses of three peasants. Read the letter titled An Open Invitation next to one of the corpses in order to identify and start the Godai Shinobi objective board.
Another way to get this objective board to appear in your list of quests is to assassinate other Godai Shinobi you encounter in the open world. However, do note that the board will remain listed as an "unknown organization" until you actually start the quest in Omi.
Kill the Godai of Water in Mangetsuji Temple
Once you close the letter, the area around you will become foggy and the Godai of Water will spawn in to attack you. Kill her to knock out one of the five assassination targets in the Godai Shinobi objective board.
Godai of the Wind is Unlocked after Requiem for Rokkaku
In order to find the Godai of Wind (the final assassination target of this objective board), you'll need to progress Act 2 of the main story until you unlock the quest where you meet Shotei called Requiem for Rokkaku.
Unlike the other targets (all of which can be killed right after Mibuno Showdown), the Godai of Wind will not appear in Shimagahara Valley until you progress the Shinbakufu main story quests in Act 2.

Former Koga-ryu Elites Aiming to Destroy the League
The Godai Shinobi are a group of Koga-ryu elites that were taught by Shotei - a former daimyo (feudal lord) based in southern Omi. According to the Godai, Hear My Commands! quest item, these shinobi were hired by the Shinbakufu to help destroy Naoe and Yasuke's League.
