Looting the Legendary Chest at the end of the area grants the Legendary Equipment and Legendary Engraving inside, along with a chunk of XP and a Knowledge Point.

How to Complete a Kofun

Open the Legendary Chest at the End of the Area

Old Kofun Map Completed

The Kofun will be marked as complete once you've navigated its cave paths and opened the Legendary Chest at the end. This will grant you the rewards, and you will be displayed Kofun Completed on the HUD.
