Assassin's Creed Shadows preload was available prior to the March 20 release of the game on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. With the game's launch, the option is no longer available.
Preloading allows you to install the game in advance which means that you will be able to play Assassin's Creed Shadows immediately at release day. This is perfect for long-time fans of the Assassin's Creed series and also newcomers who are excited to see what the game offers immediately.

Assassin's Creed Shadows has a huge file size across all platforms. It will require 106 GB for PC, 115.52 GB for Xbox Series, and 123 GB for Mac. PS5 version will most likely have similar size to the Xbox Series version.
