Assassin's Creed Shadows preload was available prior to the March 20 release of the game on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. With the game's launch, the option is no longer available.

How to Preload Assassin's Creed Shadows
From the Xbox Store
| 1 | On your console, navigate toward the Store, and type Assassin's Creed Shadows on the search bar. |

| 2 | Choose any edition of AC Shadows you would like to purchase, and select Pre-Order on its store page. |
| 3 | Input your chosen mode of payment and purchase the game. |
| 4 | Afterward, it will automatically be added to your library where you can select the Download Now option to begin preloading the game. |
From the PlayStation Store
| 1 | Navigate toward the PlayStation Store and search for Assasin's Creed Shadows on the search bar. |

| 2 | Select your desired edition of AC Shadows, select pre-purchase, accept the Immediate Payment notice, and select Order and Pay at checkout after inputting your payment details. |
| 3 | The game will begin to preload itself automatically upon purchase once preload becomes available, or go to your PS5's Library and manually start the download from there. |

File Size Over 100GB
Assassin's Creed Shadows has a huge file size across all platforms. It will require 106 GB for PC, 115.52 GB for Xbox Series, and 123 GB for Mac. PS5 version will most likely have similar size to the Xbox Series version.
