Kill Wandering Ronin

You will regularly find wandering Ronin around the lands, who you can easily assassinate and loot for extra Mon. They usually carry around 500–900 Mon and a Valuable that you can also sell for Mon.

Clear Out Castles

Completing Castles are a great way to earn money, as there is a lot of loot in chests and on dead enemies in these POIs. You also get more rewards such as Mon and Mastery Points when eliminating the Samurai Daisho, a great amount of XP, and a Legendary Item.

Complete Contracts with Mon Rewards

Another good way to get Mon is to complete contracts that reward you with it. Usually, contracts will only reward you with Hideout Resources. But, sometimes, you'll get these really good Mon contracts that also reward you with a decent chunk XP to boot.

When a season resets, make sure to check your contracts board at any Kakurega to see if a Mon and XP contract is available to complete.

Clear Out Hostile POIs

Hostile POIs likewise have a lot of enemies to kill and loot. Many enemies and loot spots also carry valuables that you can sell at merchants.

What to Buy and Sell First

Sell Valuables to Merchants

Finally, you can sell any valuables you get from slain enemies or chests to get Mon. Always sell these since they won't have any use outside of earning you Mon.
