What are Anomalies?

Anomalies are weekly quests tied to the Projects system of Assasin's Creed Shadows. These spawn randomly around the map with a single objective that players must accomplish. These quests often have players dispatching targets or collecting certain items, rewarding players with XP and Data fragments.

Level Up Projects with Data Fragments

Completing an anomaly will reward you with XP and Data Fragments. The latter are used to level up your active Project in order to earn Keys (Exchange Shop currency), legendary weapons and armor, and corrupted data fragments (lore unlocks).

How to Find and Track Anomalies

Anomalies Can be Viewed via the Objectives Board

The top-most objective board in the in-game Objective tab will feature all 4 weekly anomalies that you can complete. Open your world map or inventory, then navigate to the Objectives tab to view and track available anomalies.

Alternatively, players can also see what Anomalies are available by opening the Animus and going to the Projects tab. However, unlike the Objectives tab, you will not be able to track the anomalies from this screen.

Track Anomalies Using the World Map

Players can also track Anomalies through the world map. Since they share similar icons to some of the active quests, the easiest way to find and track them via the world map is by going to Zoom x1 since only anomalies and quests become visible at this zoom level.
