Old Kofun Walkthrough
How to Complete Old Kofun
The Old Kofun can only be accessed and completed by Naoe. If you're currently using Yasuke, switch characters before attempting to enter the Kofun.

| 1 |  The Old Kofun can be completed as soon as you reach Act 1. To find it, head west from Makinoodera Temple towards Sakai and you should find the Kofun on the way there. Upon arriving outside of the Old Kofun, head inside through the gap as Naoe. |
| 2 |  Now in the cave, you'll find a chest, and next to it, crawl under the stone to move forward. |
| 3 |  Light up the candles along the way to help visibility on the path. |
| 4 |  As you follow the path, you will arrive at a gap that you must swing across using Naoe's Grappling Hook. |
| 5 |  After landing, turn right to see another narrow gap that you'll have to squeeze through. |
| 6 |  After squeezing through the gap, you'll see a flooded cave ahead of you. Dive down into its depths and swim towards the other side. |
| 7 |  Swim forward through the water and surface on the other side. |
| 8 |  This section si fairly linear. Keep heading forward past terracotta statues and you should come across another gap that you'll have to cross via Grappling Hook. |
| 9 |  Head through the caves some more and you'll come across the final gap that separates you and the treasure. |
| 10 |  Use the Grappling Hook to swing across or simply swim to reach the side with the Legendary Chest. |
| 11 |  Once safely across, simply loot the Legendary Chest to get: ・2000 XP ・Knowledge Point ・Amaterasu's Blessing ・Damage for Unused Ability Slots |
How to Exit Old Kofun
Climb Up to Reach Shortcut Exit

| 1 |  To the left of the final chest, head towards the opening. |
| 2 |  Climb up the rocks and you can use the Grappling Hook to climb up the rope to the very top. |
| 3 |  Use a Kunai from a distance to blow up the red explosives, clearing out the rocks for you to exit. |
| 4 |  After passing through the opening, you'll return to your starting point and can exit freely. |
How to Unlock the Unavailable Area
Progress Act 2 Until You Get the Secrets of the Blade
The unavailable area will become accessible later, after completing the Wolves and Foxes main quest in Act 2. You'll revisit this area later on once you get the Naoe Quest, Secrets of the Blade.

If you have successfully unlocked the Makinoodera Lookout point, you can travel directly west of it towards a question mark pin that is revealed on the map. You can also reach this Kofun by heading east from the port city of Sakai.
