AC Shadows - How to Level Up Fast

There are a handful of surefire ways to earn XP and level up fast in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on to find the best ways to get XP and level up faster!

Complete All Contracts Each Season

AC Shadows Contracts

Contracts are the easiest way to earn large amounts of XP, granting 1,000+ XP per completion, with rewards scaling up as you progress. They also provide a good amount of Hideout Resources.

Contracts refresh each season, so be sure to complete all three available contracts per season to maximize your XP gain. You can take on contracts at the Kakurega safehouses you own across the map.

What to Do First

Build a Tera in the Hideout

Tera XP Boost Building

The Tera is a special Themed Room that grants +10% Experience when built. Make sure to build this back in the Hideout to get the XP buff early. The buff affects all XP sources, making it the ideal way to boost the amount of XP you get for all activities in the game.

Best Hideout Building Priority

Clear Out Castles

AC Shadows Castle

Clearing out Castles is the next best method to earn a lot of XP for levels, as they give a large amount for killing the Samurai Daishos and looting the location's Legendary Chest. Additionally, each Samurai Daisho you kill in a Castle grants one Mastery Point that you can use to purchase abilities.

Accomplish Knowledge Point POIs

Temple Lost Page

Completing activities that grant Knowledge Points—such as praying at Shrines, finding Lost Pages in Temples, or exploring Kofuns—rewards 500~1000 XP each. While small, these amounts do add up, especially since these activities are abundant in the open world.

In addition to earning XP and Knowledge Points from these activities, you also gain XP from the exploration required to reach these locations, which also adds up over time.

Find and Complete Quests

AC Shadows Quest Objectives

Quests are a solid way to earn XP, but they are limited per region outside of what is found on Objective Boards. Additionally, side quests don’t appear on the map until you discover them, meaning you will have to do some extra exploration to find them.
