Koshiro Romance Guide and Choices

Naoe can romance Koshiro during the side quest, The Leaf Turns, in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). See a guide on the correct dialogue choices needed to romance Koshiro and learn how to unlock his romance quest.

Flirt with Koshiro at Least 4 Times During the Leaf Turns

After tidying up Koshiro's house, you will come across a letter addressed to you. Respond with "You're more than a blade to me".

We have a special connection
After retrieving his toolbox, talk to Koshiro and tell him "We have a special connection".

Before your conversation ends, he will ask you to go on a stroll with him. Say "I'd like to spend more time with you".

You Must Follow Your Heart
After some walking, he will stop to speak to you again, this time about his passion and purpose. Tell him "You must follow your heart" and assure him of his decision.

Like me
Upon arriving at the pond, Naoe and Koshiro will talk about Koshiro's departure. When talking about things to look forward to, respond with "Like me".

The Leaf Turns is the quest where you can both flirt with and completely romance Koshiro. During this quest, Naoe can flirt with Koshiro for a total of five times. In order to successfully romance him, you'll need to flirt with Koshiro at least 4 times.

Koshiro's Toolbox Location

Koshiro

During the quest, you will need to retrieve Koshiro's carving tools for him. These can be found at Inariyama Garrison, a fortress located near Mount Kasagata in Harima Region. Play as Naoe to easily infiltrate the fort.

This quest objective only needs you to pick up the tools from the indicated location. You can sneak straight to the objective, take it, then book it out of the fort as long as you are not caught.

How to Unlock The Leaf Turns

Complete Fallen Soldiers

Fallen Soldiers Objective Board

Koshiro's romance sequence for Naoe will be locked behind quest progression. Complete the Fallen Soldiers objective board where you hunt down Genzaburo's soldiers to unlock The Leaf Turns - Koshiro's romance quest.

Do note that Fallen Soldiers is only available after you finish The Ox questline of the main story. Progress through the Shinbakufu objective board to reach this point of the story.

Is Koshiro an Ally of the League?

Koshiro is Not a Useable Ally in Combat

After the events of the Ox questline and Koshiro's questline, he will have decided to leave and start anew somewhere else. Naoe cannot convince him to stay and join the fight, so Koshiro cannot be recruited into the league.
