Dress for Success Walkthrough
Dress for Success is a main quest under The Golden Teppo on The Onryo board in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows) that requires you to get a kosode for a tea ceremony. Acquire a Kosode
After speaking with Imai Sokyu during the Searching Sakai main quest, you will be asked to get a kosode for the tea ceremony. Head to the southwestern area of Sakai, by the port, and look for a kosode merchant.
Walk around the southwest shore and find the merchant mixing a dye outside a shop. Talk to them and ask for a special kosode for the tea ceremony.
Retrieve the Silks
Fortunately, the said pirate ships with the stolen silks aren't far from where the merchant is. West of Sakai is two nanbansen, or "foreign ships", that you can swim to. Nobody is on the ship on the right, so you can quickly loot what you can find there.
Now, the other ship has pirates on board and explosive barrels that you can detonate with a Kunai to make quick work of the enemies. Once it's clear, look for the stolen silks inside the chest in the middle of the deck.
Choose a Silk for the Kosode
Return to the merchant with the silks in hand and select the one you want the kosode to be made from: the Black Portuguese Silk or the Red Chinese Silk.
This choice event won't have major effects in this quest and The Tea Ceremony, so it doesn't matter gameplay-wise. However, it will determine the kosode that Naoe will be wearing in the ceremony, its cutscenes, and Wakasa's reaction to her outfit.

Completing Dress for Success will reward you with the kosode that you'll need for The Tea Ceremony. It is a key item, so Naoe won't be able to equip it outside the quest or as a cosmetic.
