How to Switch Weapons

Switch weapons by pressing R on PC, or right on the directional pad on consoles in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on to learn how to switch weapons and when you should swap weapons in combat.

Players can switch between weapons by pressing R on PC, or Right on the directional pad for consoles. This allows players to cycle between their primary and secondary weapons.

When Should You Switch Weapons?

Choose Between Different Weapons

Yasuke and Naoe have a selection of weapons to choose from, with each weapon boasting different mechanics and strengths. Players can opt for the Bow or the Kunai to snipe enemies from afar, before switching to the Katana to engage in close combat.

Extend Combos with Link Attacks

Link Attacks are a Mastery Perk that allow players to extend their attacks by switching weapons in the middle of a combo. Use this to your advantage by equipping a strong alternate weapon and fishing for openings.
