Showdown in Sakamoto is a main quest that requires you to assassinate the Naginata of the Shinbakufu in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on to see a walkthrough of Showdown in Sakamoto, including the quest's location and rewards!

Meet Shotei Location
Located in Sakamoto, Omi
This quest can be initiated at the watchtower overlooking Sakamoto. Travel to the Sakamoto Kakurega and travel north.

Meet Shotei
To begin the quest, players must meet with Shotei just north of the Sakamoto Kakurega. During your conversation, you will be given one last chance to back out before going through with this quest. Use this opportunity to make sure you meet the recommended level and have specced out your character accordingly.
Kill Gamo Yoshimitsu
The siege will have the player begin as Yasuke. You must storm the castle, defeating all enemies until you find Gamo Yoshimitsu.
Gamo Yoshimitsu is the first boss of this quest, located at Yoshimitsu Estate. He wields a Katana that inflicts Poison on the player, so players should try to dodge or parry his attacks to avoid taking damage over time.
Destroy the Explosives
After the cutscene, players must then locate the explosive jars and destroy them. Players can use observation and eagle vision to locate enemies and explosive jars. Throw your Kunai at them from a distance to prevent taking damage and being spotted.

Flirt with Katsuhime
During the cutscene, players will have a chance to flirt with Katsuhime, improving your chances of romancing her. Flirty dialogue options will be highlighted with a white heart symbol next to it.
How to Recruit and Romance Katsuhime
Regroup with Katsuhime
Once you have triggered all the explosive jars, make your way back to Katsuhime. She can be found on the northeast building on the rooftop.
Players will then have to meet up with Shotei before moving forward. From the rooftop, jump into the water on the east side of the building to meet up with Shotei.
Assassinate Akechi Kagemitsu
In the final part of this quest, players must now assassinate the Naginata, also known as Akechi Kagemitsu. He can be found in the Tenshu, a few meters south of where you last were.
Players can opt to approach this section as Yasuke or Naoe, with both characters possessing significant strengths for this fight. If you want a straightforward approach, you can dispatch waves of enemies easily as Yasuke. Meanwhile, Naoe can sneak straight to the Naginata and perform repeated assassinations on him.
Lure Him out as Naoe
Assassinating the Naginata as Naoe will require you to lure him out as he is wary and guarded. When you enter the Tenshu, look for the room with a dog's food bowl. Remove the food bowl and hide, and this will lure out the Naginata alone.

Aside from XP, Mon, and a Mastery Point, players will also receive the Sage's Reach, and its Engraving, Stack Damage After Block. Sage's Reach rewards players when who block hits by buffing your next attack by 10% after every block.
