
Genzaburo's Soldiers is an objective board tasked by Koshiro which has the player track down his former comrades who seek vengeance for the Ox's death in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on to learn each target's locations, as well as the rewards for each target.

The Teppo Expert |

The Poisoner |

Genzaburo |
![]() After defeating all soldiers, return and speak to Kyoshiro at the Kyokaiji Temple. Then, travel to Zuiganji Temple in Himeji to confront Genzaburo. |

In looking for the Teppo Expert, players will have to eavesdrop on some Shrine Maidens by Hideyoshi Camp. Climb onto the viewpoint of the nearby watchtower and observe the two to listen to their conversation. This will reveal the Teppo Expert's location which is at Kaya Shrine.

Clues suggest that children might know a way in. When you arrive at Osaka, travel north and look for two kids talking about the performance. Eavesdrop on the children and follow the one who is determined to see the performance, and he will lead you to a scaffolding you can use to infiltrate the garden.

Completing this quest will unlock the Naoe quest The Leaf Turns, where she and Koshiro discuss his departure following the events of the Ox questline. This quest will allow players to romance Koshiro, provided they choose the flirty dialogue options.

Players get 5000 XP and the masteries Sweep the Leg on Naoe, and Defensive Breach on Yasuke. These are upgrades to the abilities Lightning Kicks and War Kick, and are unlocked at Knowledge Rank 6 and 4 respectively.

The Genzaburo's Soldiers objective board is triggered when players complete the quest Fallen Soldiers. Travel to the Miki Kakurega in Harima and travel northeast to the Kyokaiji Temple.
While Fallen Soldiers and the subsequent quest The Leaf Turns are exclusive to Naoe, players can choose to approach Genzaburo's Soldiers as both Yasuke or Naoe. Stealth and Combat are both acceptable approaches in this questline, even for Genzaburo.

Genzaburo's soldiers are on a quest of vengeance for their fallen master, the Ox of the Shinbakufu. This quest cannot be triggered until the players have slain the Ox in Broken Horn.
