Broken Horn is a quest that has the player assassinate Bessho Harumasa, the Ox of the Shinbakufu in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on to see a walkthrough for Naoe and Yasuke, including rewards and how to beat the Ox!

Speak to Nakamura Tadashige
You can start this quest by speaking to Nakamura Tadashige in Miki, Harima Region. Travel to the Miki Kakurega and you will find him in a nearby building.
Starting the quest, Naoe, Yasuke, and Nakamura Tadashige will discuss their plan to take down the Ox, also known as Bessho Harumasa. They will discuss their stances on the Tsuno, even after deciding that he has to die. After the conversation, players can choose to approach this mission as either Yasuke or Naoe.

| 1 |  Reach Higher Ground Starting the mission as Naoe, you will have to reach higher ground to assess the situation. Dispatch the guard standing in your way and climb the structure. |
| 2 |  Kill the Teppo-Wielding Guards You will then have to eliminate the teppo-wielding guards. These guards are all lined up and can be taken out one by one, but players should be wary of the guards standing to the side. They will notice the player and should be taken out as well. |
| 3 |  Look for Yasuke Players should then make their way to the vantage point and look for yasuke. You will encounter him speaking to a dying soldier and will be given a choice to continue the mission as either Naoe or Yasuke. |
| 4 |  Talk to the Deserter Continuing the mission as Naoe, you will then have to save the deserters who are being held captive in the Ox's camp. Dispatch the guards and speak to the deserter. |
| 5 |  Reach Yasuke's Location After speaking with the deserter, head to the gate to meet up with Yasuke. You will be given one last choice to approach the next objective as Yasuke or Naoe, this time to assassinate the Ox. ▶︎ How to Beat the Ox |

| 1 |  Kill the Ox's Men As Yasuke, players will storm the castle dispatching all of the Ox's soldiers. Keep pushing forward into the castle and eliminate all enemies. |
| 2 |  Talk to the Dying Soldier Players will find a dying soldier, speak to him and Naoe will catch up. You will be given another choice to continue as Yasuke or Naoe. |
| 3 |  Kill the Tsuno Continuing as Yasuke, you will now have to defeat the Tsuno. The Tsuno attacks with a bow and a sword which both apply Poison to the player. Once defeated, the player will be given one final choice to assassinate the Ox as either Yasuke or Naoe. ▶︎ How to Beat the Ox |
How to Beat the Ox
Assassinate the Ox as Naoe
The best approach for this boss fight is to sneak around as Naoe and slowly pick off enemies. As you approach the Ox, dispatch any guards standing between you and him.
Climb to the top of the nearest building or sneak up behind him, and then assassinate him to take a chunk of health off him. Then, slip back into stealth and wait for your next opportunity to assassinate him again.
Enemies Can Call for Backup
The two soldiers standing next to the Ox can call for reinforcements while in combat. Whether you choose to play as Yasuke or Naoe, prioritize killing these guards first as you can easily be overwhelmed leading to you giving the Ox an opening for strong attacks.

Players receive the legendary kanabo Daybreak's Fury and the legendary engraving Shrapnel from Breaking Armor as a reward for assassinating the Ox. Additionally, you receive 2000 XP, 290 Mon, and 3 Mastery points regardless of your choices in this quest.
