The Winter Raiders is a Quest Board in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows) that requires you to find ruthless fighters scattered across Kii and Yamato regions during winter. Read on to learn how to unlock the quest, the target locations, rewards, and an interactive map.

 | Zoom In / Zoom Out Allows you to zoom in and out of the interactive map by pressing the + and - buttons. |
 | Fullscreen Press to view the interactive map in fullscreen. Press it again to close the fullscreen view. |
 | Show Pin Names Use these buttons to reveal or hide the names of each map pin. |
 | Show / Hide Acquired Pins Use these buttons to toggle the visibility of map pins you marked as "acquired". |
 | Search Mode Toggle This button will display a search bar which you can use to search for an individual pin by its name. |
 | Icon Mode Toggle In Search Mode, this button will toggle you back to Icon Mode, removing the search bar and displaying the icons again. |
 | Reset Marked Pins Use this option to reset all map pins marked that you've marked as acquired. Confirm the prompt that appears to reset all marked pins. |
 | Counter Tracks the number of pins you have of a certain type. The pin type shown is set to the page and currently cannot be changed; however, all pin type counters can be viewed by clicking the checklist icon on the right side. |
 | View All Counters This icon is found on the right side of the Counter. When a map has more than one pin type, click this icon to see Counters for all pin types. |

 Located at a camp on the Nakahechi Route in the Kii region, west of Kumano Sanzan and south of Koyasan. Region: Kii Location: Northeast of Takahara Village Season Winter Recommended: Yasuke |

 Located near Iseji Trails, north of Kumano Hayatama Taisha, northeast of Kii region. Region: Kii Location: East of Iseji Trails Season: Winter Recommended: Naoe |
 Yasha |
 Located inside the Elder's House, north of Yoshino in the Yamato Region. Region: Yamato Location: Kawakami Season: Winter Recommended: Yasuke |
Jinbei |
 Located inside the Sandanbeki Cave, south of Tanabe Kakurega in the Kii region. Region: Kii Location: Sandanbeki Cave Season: Winter Recommended: Naoe |
These locations apply only during the winter season. Each Winter Raider appears in a different part of Kii or Yamato and must be tracked down individually. Jinbei, the final target, will only become available after all other Winter Raiders have been defeated.

When it’s not winter, all five Winter Raiders can be found inside Sandanbeki Cave. Note that the cave entrance is located north of where Sandanbeki Cave is marked on the map. Be prepared, facing all five at once is no easy task and will require serious preparation.

How to Unlock The Winter Raiders
Find Rin at Gobo Village
To begin The Winter Raiders quest, travel to Gobo Village, southwest of the Kii region and speak with Rin. She will lead you to the Village Elder. After talking to the elder, the quest will officially start.
Recommended for Late-Game Players
The Winter Raiders quest is designed for higher-level characters and is located at a high level region, making it more suitable for players in the late game. It’s best to wait until you've progressed further in the story and reached a higher level before taking on this challenging quest.
We Recommend Using Yasuke
Although The Winter Raiders is not officially part of Rin's romance questline, it serves as an early opportunity to begin building that relationship.
When playing as Naoe, Rin comments, "I was hoping for a samurai to fight for us." hinting that Yasuke may be the more fitting choice for this quest and subtly setting the tone for the romance path.

As the name suggests, the Winter Raiders can be tracked and eliminated during the winter season. If it isn't currently winter in your game, you can either wait for the season to change naturally or switch to winter manually from the main menu.

Raiders Who Disrupt Kii During Winter
The Winter Raiders are a group of seasoned warriors turned into vicious marauders who who torment Gobo Village and other nearby areas during the winter, using the cold to their advantage to steal from the villagers and kill anyone who stands in their way.
Yasuke is the perfect choice for this quest, as his strength makes him well-suited for the tough battles with the Raiders. Plus, this quest gives you a chance to start building the romance between Yasuke and Rin.
