Upgrading the Hideout provides significant advantages and bonuses for you and your allies in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on to learn the best building upgrade priority for your hideout and how to upgrade your hideout level.

Best Hideout Building Priority
You can prioritize certain Hideout buildings and upgrades to maximize their benefits and your resources, especially early on. To get the most out of the Hideout's perks, here's our recommended build order:

| 1 | Kakurega | Best to upgrade to Lvl. 3 early, giving you access to more Kakurega locations. |
| 2 | Forge | Upgrade to Lvl. 2 for basic Engravings. Useful for Naoe, as regular Engravings can grant health bonuses from assassinations. |
| 3 | Stables | Upgrading the Stables at least to Lvl. 2 maximizes your Scout usage. |
| 4 | Study | Get even more Scouts to work with as you build and upgrade the Study. ▶ How to Get More Scouts |
| 5 | Tera | Grants passive +10% XP gain bonus, especially useful in higher levels. |
| 6 | Zashiki and Tea Room | These two significantly enhance Ration heals, each by 20%, especially useful on higher difficulties. |
| 7 | Dojo | The Dojo is a lower priority since your own Solo Perks are more important than training allies. |
| 8 | Nando | Decent buff of reduced Scout replenishes at Kakurega spots. |
| 9 | Jinja | Lower priority, build for the Hideout XP gains. |
| 10 | Gallery | Build later for Hideout XP as switching equipment loadouts is less useful. |
| 11 | Small, Medium, Large Room | Build these just for Hideout XP as your last priority. You can also put decorations in them. |
How to Upgrade the Hideout
Construct and Upgrade Hideout Buildings
To earn XP for the Hideout, you must construct buildings and then upgrade them in the Build menu. This includes the Main Buildings and their Themed Rooms.
Gather the Required Resources to Build Rooms
Building rooms will require resources that players can farm by completing contracts. Travel to any Kakurega and browse through the contracts.
Each Hideout Level Gives Bonuses
With each level up to Level 10, the Hideout gains various bonuses, including additional resource rewards, and reduced scouting and upgrade costs.

| 2 | Available Scouts can bring back Mon at season end. |
| 3 | Increase Shrine Boon duration by 15 minutes. |
| 4 | Available Scouts can bring back Hideout Resources at season end. |
| 5 | Reduced engraving costs at the Forge by 20%. |
| 6 | Refill Health and Adrenaline in Kakurega Safehouses and the Hideout. |
| 7 | Available Scouts can bring back Crafting Materials at season end. |
| 8 | Reduce gear upgrade costs at the Forge by 20%. |
| 9 | Stockpiles also reward Crafting Materials. |
