All 16 food vendors can be found across the map. Simply talking to the vendors will earn you the local dishes with no payment required. You’ll receive the food and the max ration increase just by talking to the vendor, even before unlocking the quest on the objective board.
How to Start Feast for Thought
Speak to Hong in Obama After Defeating the Fox
After eliminating the Fox in the Shinbakufu board, speak to Hong in Obama, in the Wakasa region, to unlock the Feast for Thought quest. He is in a house east of the Obama District Kakurega.
However, you do not need the quest unlocked to start collecting the food items. The vendors will be available at their respective locations as soon as you start the game.
Feast for Thought Rewards
Max Rations Increased
With all 16 local dishes collected, your max rations increase for both Naoe and Yasuke—up to a total of 9 rations for Naoe and 11 rations for Yasuke. The ration count increases by one for every few dishes you collect.
Note: You do not need to complete the quest to receive the max ration increase as collecting the local dishes automatically increases the rations. You'll get the bonus rations even before meeting Hong.
1000 XP
Successfully finding all sixteen local dishes and handing them to Hong grants you 1000 XP.
