Kurai Eikyou Walkthrough
Questline Summary
| 1 |  Talk to the Locals To start the quest, travel to Katsuragi in western Yamato and head to Sumoujo. Talk to Gokenin, who will mention strange occurrences in the area. |

| 2 | Assassinate the Katsuragi Agent Make your way to Gokenin Manor nearby to find the Katsuragi agent. He will be a large man without a helmet, wielding a kanabo. Assassinate him to eliminate the first target. |
| 3 |  Assassinate the Tsutsui Agent Head northwest to Koriyama and enter Koriyama Castle. Locate and assassinate the Tsutsui agent, identifiable by his brown robe and the bow on his back. |
| 4 |  Inspect the Retainer's Quarters After eliminating the Tsutsui agent, go to his home in the Retainer’s Quarters north of the castle. Read the scroll on his drawers to gain clues about your next target. |
| 5 |  Eavesdrop on the Blacksmiths Travel east to Uda Matsuyama and eavesdrop on the blacksmiths near the Gear Vendor by hiding behind cover to learn the third target’s location. |
| 6 | Assassinate the Blacksmith Agent Head to Miyataki, just north of the river in Yoshino. Assassinate the Blacksmith agent, who is a large bearded man with a white bandana, wielding a katana. |
| 7 |  Kill the Mercenaries Make your way northeast and head north of Uda Matsuyama to reach a small mill. Kill the Ashigaru soldiers and the Mercenary Leader to gain clues about the fourth target. |
| 8 | Assassinate the Akiyama Agent Return to Uda Matsuyama and enter Uda Matsuyama Castle. Assassinate the Akiyama agent on the northwest part of the castle, within the Daimyo Residence. He is wearing captain’s armor with thorned helmet. |
| 9 |  Assassinate the Messenger For the last target, you can assassinate The Messenger in two locations :at the zen garden inside Kofukuji Temple in the evening or outside in the Nara Heartland on the road during the day. We recommend assassinating him in the evening, as he is expected to remain at the temple during that time. |
| 10 |  Return to Fuyu Once all targets have been eliminated, head back to the Omiwa Shrine and speak with Fuyu. |
| 11 |  Retrieve the Gift As thanks, Kojiro has left you a gift. Follow the trail uphill behind Omiwa Shrine to the persimmon tree. Interact with the gift to claim your reward and complete the quest. |

This elusive man is tucked away and hidden in plain sight. It is said wars are won not only with swords, but with money. It is also said that money is often needed for swords. Location: Miyataki, Yamato Rewards: ・ 2,000 XP ・2 Mastery Points ・Encouragement ・Naginata Specialization |
 The Akiyama Agent |
This is one of the big players in the region, a powerful connection among the Akiyama with a devious plan that's hiding beneath the surface. Ambition and cunning can be a threatening combination. Location: Uda Matsuyama, Yamato Rewards: ・ 2,000 XP ・2 Mastery Points ・Repeating Fate ・Damage to Distant Enemy |
 The Messenger |
This individual seemingly has connections that run deep in Yamato, corrupting the land. Location: Nara Heartland, Yamato Rewards: ・ 2,000 XP ・2 Mastery Points ・Shade of Blight ・Adrenaline on Affliction Trigger |
5,000 XP, Whisper of Muramasa, and Improved Counter Attacks
In addition to the rewards earned from assassinating targets, completing Kurai Eikyou grants 5,000 XP, the Whisper of Muramasa (Legendary Long Katana), and the Improved Counter Attacks (Engraving).
Who are the Kurai Eikyou?
Shadowy Group that Torments Yamato
The Kurai Eikyou is a nefarious group of individuals who hide in the shadows of Yamato. They appear to use money and power to cause panic among the locals.
Unlocked After Completing A Chance Encounter
The Kurai Eikyou quest board is unlocked immediately after completing A Chance Encounter quest during Act 2. Either Naoe or Yasuke can complete the quest.
