Riddles can be found by talking to NPCs in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on for a list of the riddles you can encounter in the game and how you can respond to them to get a reward.

Riddle Choices
Seashell Riddle
Which province is the seashell from?		 It must be from Omi.
It is from Kyoto.
Correct: I believe it's from Wakasa.
Wager Riddle
I am sucked in from the bottom and let out from the mouth. What am I?		 Is it a burp?
Correct: Is it tobacco smoke?
Is it an evil spirit?
The Fukui Curse
NPCs in need of help, complaining about the Fukui Curse 		Help / Give mon
Correct: Refuse

All correct riddle answers are in bold. Correctly answering a riddle will reward you with either scout intel or a world rumor.

How to Find Riddles

Talk to NPCs Along Roads

Riddles come from NPCs you can encounter along your journey. These NPCs often spawn randomly and can either be in need of help or have a riddle for you. If you respond to them correctly, they will give you a reward.

You will know if an NPC can be interacted with if they start talking once you get close to them.

World Rumor or Scout Intel

World Rumor or Scout Intel

Successfuly answering a riddle can reward you with either a world rumor or scout intel. A world rumor pins a point of interest on your map within the region you helped the NPC in. This could be a quest, a castle location, or the location of an activity, as long as you haven't discovered them yourself.

Scout intel allows you to replenish a deployed scout. You may not be given this option if you still have all your scouts available to you.
