The way you turn or not turn the tea bowl when prompted during the tea ceremony will affect the outcome of the quest. The proper way of receiving a tea bowl was taught during The Perfect Gift quest.
Your choice here is one of the five responses that determines the next quest and how Naoe will find the Golden Teppo.
You should follow the proper etiquette of the Tea Ceremony by turning the bowl right twice.
Naoe must preserve her false identity throughout the ceremony to unlock the Drive the Point Home quest, which is the most peaceful way of tracking down the Golden Teppo. Failing to do so will take you to the more difficult quest, Defensive Position, before the Golden Teppo is found.
