How to Complete the Ancient Tomb of Nanjo

The Ancient Tomb of Nanjo can only be accessed and completed by Naoe. If you're currently using Yasuke, switch characters before attempting to enter the Kofun.

Step	Walkthrough
1	The Tomb (Kofun) is located in Yamashiro, northwest of the Izumi Settsu region. Go northwest of Shoryuji Castle or south of Eagle's Nest. At the entrance, go down the steps and through the small gap fit for Naoe.
2	Head straight past the gap and arrive at a cliff. You can leap of faith down towards the water or use the Grappling Hook to do an acrobatic flip before diving down. After descending, head deeper into the Kofun by going through the opening straight ahead.
3	Past the short path from the opening, you will arrive at a ledge overlooking the checkpoint room. You will end up back here if you make wrong turns in the next portions of the tomb. Drop down and turn right into the correct path.
4	Turn right towards the path nearest to the chest. The horse statues above the entrance are the clues for choosing the correct turns in rooms with two paths.
5	Use the pillars in the water to cross. Both can be climbed, and the taller pillar on the right makes it easier to jump to the other side.
6	Make a leap of faith towards the water below, and continue the path crawling underneath the caves.
7	Jump across towards the rocks on the wall with ridges, which you can grab onto and climb up. There is water below the cliff, so you can still climb up from there if you fall.
8	Drop down and head to the path heading straight, towards the entrance with horse statues displayed above. Going left will return you to the checkpoint room.
9	Use the stone pillars in the water to parkour and scale up the wall. Continue following the path ahead and Grappling Hook swing to the next area.
10	Use the ladder-like part of the stone wall to climb up towards the horse statues.
11	This is the final room with two paths. Turn left towards the chest which is also the path with horse statues displayed above. Turning right here will bring you back to the starting area.
12	The rest of the path towards the chest is straightforward. Just keep heading straight through and you will arrive at your rewards. Completion Rewards: ・2000 XP ・Knowledge Point ・Yukimitsu's Revenge ・Vulnerable to Affliction

How to Exit the Ancient Tomb of Nanjo

Head Straight Past the Chest

Just past the chest, you'll find a shortcut leading back to the starting room. From there, simply head straight back the way you came and use the Grappling Hook to return to the top for an easy exit.

The tomb can be reached in the northern part of Yamashiro, northwest of the starting area of Izumi Settsu. Going northwest from Shoryuji Castle or directly south from Eagle's Nest Kakurega are two options for close-by fast travel points.
