Engraving your Weapons, Armor, Headgear, and Trinkets grants perks that enhance your combat and gameplay in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Learn how to Engrave your equipment and acquire Engravings here!

Engravings can be attached to your Rare, Epic, and Legendary Rarity Weapons and Armor, providing additional perks and boosts to your gameplay. You can start applying non-Legendary Engravings once you upgrade the Hideout Forge to Level 2.

| 3 |  Once you have a Level 2 Forge, head on over and speak to Heiji to access his shop. |

| 4 |  On the top left of the shop menu, scroll towards the Engrave tab. Select the equipment slot you want Engraved. |

| 5 |  Select a specific piece of Epic or Legendary gear. |
|
| 6 |  Select an Engraving to attach to your piece of equipment. With a Level 2 Forge, you won't be able to attach Legendary Engravings. | |
| 7 |  Repeat the same process to Engrave other pieces of gear, such as Headgear, Armor, and Trinkets. |
To attach Legendary Engravings, you must upgrade the Forge to Level 3. This upgrade is well worth it, as it also allows you to further enhance your equipment.
You can find Engravings in set locations throughout the world. In the Engrave menu, you can scroll to the locked options and read clues about their locations, often in areas such as Castles or hostile POIs.
Legendary Engravings become available whenever you loot a Legendary Weapon or Armor piece. When you pick one up, the "default engraving" of the Legendary item can be re-used on other pieces of equipment.
