Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows)

What is a Weak Point Attack?

What are Weak Point Attacks

Weak Point attacks are light posture attacks against vulnerable enemies in Assassin's Creed Shadows (AC Shadows). Read on to learn how to perform a weak point attack and how to improve its damage output.

What is a Weak Point Attack?

Light Posture Attack Against a Vulnerable Enemy

Weak Point attacks are a special type of attack that deals high damage against enemies in a Vulnerable state (when they glow orange). To do a light posture attack, you'll first need to put an enemy in a Vulnerable state, either by using a Deflect, Parry, or perfect Dodge.

Once the enemy is Vulnerable, charge up a light posture attack (hold R1 on PS5, RB on Xbox, or MB1 on PC) and hit the enemy. If a special animation plays, you'll know you managed to pull off a weak point attack.

Unlock Abilities and Items to Make it Easier to Put Enemies in a Vulnerable State

At the start of the game, you won't be able to easily pull off the Vulnerable state since it'll require you to become a deflect, parry, or dodge god. However, later on, you'll gain access to abilities and legendary engravings that make it easier to put enemies in a Vulnerable state.

Consider leveling up abilities like Dodge Attack or Vault, or equipping legendaries like the Legendary Onna-musha Headband or the Protector's Armor to make Vulnerable easy to trigger against enemies as Naoe or Yasuke.

How to Improve Weak Point Attacks

Increase the Damage You Deal Against Vulnerable Enemies

An easy way to improve your Weak Point attack damage is to equip items or get passives that improve your damage against vulnerable enemies. Equipment with the Vulnerable Damage stat and the Global Passive at Knowledge Rank 6 with the same effect should do the trick.
