The Rosethorn Cache is located in Rosethorn Hall. Retrieve the hidden scroll in the loft above the stairs to start the quest.

Find the Hidden Scroll in Rosethorn Hall

Go to the bedroom of Rosethorn Hall and find the scroll on the loft above the stairs. With a high Acrobatics skill, you can jump on the desk and on the deer head to reach the loft.

Solve the Riddle in the Note

The hidden scroll contains the following riddle: "Two bodies have I, though both joined in one. The more I stand still, the quicker I run." The riddle refers to an hourglass but does not state its exact location.

To find the hourglass, go down the basement. Find the hourglass on the wodden pillar that has two pieces of garlic hanging on it. Activating the hourglass completes the quests and gives you the Ring of the Gray and other rewards.
