Sell Three Ayleid Statues to Umbacano

Selling Ayleid Statue to Umbacano

Nothing You Can Possess starts after you sell at least three Ayleid Statues to Umbacano during The Collector quest. After you do that, you can talk to him about another task he wants you to do. You can find him in Umbacano Manor at the Imperial City, Talos Plaza District.

Find the Ruins of High Fane

# Step-by-step Walkthrough

Nothing You Can Possess - Step 1 - Talk to Umbacano for Another Task
Talk to Umbacano about "another task" and he'll give you a key to recover a carving from an Ayleid Ruin called the High Fane.

Nothing You Can Possess - Step 2a - Head to Malada
Nothing You Can Possess - Step 2b - Head to Malada
The ruins of High Fane is now called Malada according to the book "Cleansing of the Fane".

Follow the road southeast from the Imperial City. Look for a place called Mackamentain then you can follow the unmarked road heading east from there to reach the Malada.

Nothing You Can Possess - Step 3a - Find the Door inside Malada
Nothing You Can Possess - Step 3b - Open the Stone Door
Head inside Malada and find the stone door that can be unlocked by Umbacano's key. Follow the directions on the map shown to reach the door.

Nothing You Can Possess - Step 4 - Take the Carving from the Wall
After opening the door, you'll be able to see the carving on the wall. Take it from the wall and the wall will crumble.

Nothing You Can Possess - Optional - Head to the Second Level of Malada
Optional: Right behind the crumbled wall is the door that leads deeper into the ruins to Malada Aldmerisel. You don't have to explore this area for the quest but you can go ahead and find a Varla stone and some loot.

Nothing You Can Possess - Step 5 - Watch out for the Ambush
Once you have the carving, make your way back out of the ruins to return it to Umbacano.

There will be an ambush waiting for you outside and Claude Maric will ask for the carving. Refuse him so you can get the reward from Umbacano, you may also give it to him and take it back one way or another.

Talk to Umbacano back in the Imperial City and give him the carving for a gold reward.

Gold Reward

Returning the carving to Umbacano will reward you Gold depending on your current level.

Unlocks Secrets of the Ayleids

Finishing this quest unlocks the next quest from Umbacano called the Secrets of the Ayleids. Talk to him again for another task to accept the quest.
