Description Countess Valga of Castle Chorrol has tasked me with the recovery of a portrait that was stolen from her throne room. It's very dear to her as it reminds her of her husband who was lost years ago. She mentioned clues, perhaps I should find out more.

Canvas the Castle Side Quest is located in Castle Chorrol in the northeast part of the City of Chorrol. Speak to the Countess from 8am to 6pm.

Canvas the Castle Walkthrough

1 Pursuade or Bribe Countess Arriana Valga
2 Investigate the People in Castle Chorrol
3 Investigate Castle Chorrol (Painting Location)
4 Accuse Chanel of the Theft
5 Choice: Accuse Chanel or Lie to the Countess?

Pursuade or Bribe Countess Arriana Valga

To begin the quest, you need to gain enough disposition with Countess Arriana Valga to unlock the necessary conversation options. You can achieve this by either bribing her or successfully persuading her.

Once you reach a certain level of disposition, choose the dialogue option Investigation, she will give you the details on the investigation and give you a Key that unlocks the private quarters of the Castle.

Persuasion Wheel Explained

Investigate the People in Castle Chorrol

# Step-by-step Walkthrough
1
Talk to Laythe Wavrick; he will immediately provide details and pinpoint Orgnolf. He can be found roaming around the castle, but his usual location is in the Grand Hall near the seat of the Countess.
2
Talk to Orok gro-Ghoth, you'll need to pursuade or bribe him first, he will pinpoint Chanel or Orgnolf.
3
Speak with Orgnolf, who is roaming around the castle. You'll need to persuade or bribe him first, as he won't talk until you've gained a certain level of disposition. Once he opens up, he'll share his alibi. You can choose to accuse him, but it won't lead to any immediate consequences.
4
Talk to Bittneld the Curse-Bringer, he is located outside Castle Chorrol, he will immediately pinpoint Chanel who was spending time in West Tower.
5
Speak to Chanel, she can be found roaming the second floor of the castle's private quarters. You need to pursuade or bribe her, then she will give her alibi.

Investigate Castle Chorrol (Painting Location)

# Step-by-step Walkthrough
1
Investigate the Paint Stained Carpet at the Dining hall to the right of the great hall throne.
2
Go to Chanel's quarters on the second floor and examine the lectern on the table. You'll find painting tools inside. There's no need to take them, simply opening the lectern is enough to progress.
3
Head to the Castle Chorrol West Tower located at the southwest part of the second floor.
4
Here, you'll see a trap door that will lead you to a secret room in the West Tower.
5
Here, you'll find the Unusual Painting, believed to be the very painting the Countess reported as stolen.

Accuse Chanel of the Theft

After gathering the evidence, Chanel can now be accused, she will admit to the crime but before she gives out her motive, you'll need to bribe or pursuade her.
