What are Varla Stones Used For?
Recharges All Weapon Enchantments in Your Inventory
Varla Stones can be used to recharge the weapon enchants of all weapons in your inventory. Unlike Soul Gems which can only restore the enchantment of one weapon, using a Varla Stone will restore the enchantment all weapons in your inventory in one go.
This makes them very useful if you have a lot of enchanted weapons that you want to restore without having to manually use several Soul Gems for each weapon!
Sell for 1000 Gold
Alternatively, you can sell Varla Stones for a hefty 1000 Gold. We don't recommend doing this though as there's only a limited amount of Varla Stones in the game and there are more profitable ways to earn gold in-game.
How to Use Varla Stones
Activate the Varla Stone in Your Inventory
You can use Varla Stones by double-clicking them in your inventory which will pull up a menu showing all of the items it can recharge from your inventory.
Like Soul Gems, using a Varla Stone will destroy it in the process. We recommend only using these stones if you have a lot of weapons in your inventory and are too far from the Mage's Guild to pay for recharging services.
Where to Get Varla Stones
Found in Ayleid Ruins
Varla Stones are found in Ayleid Ruins and are often in locked cages that you'll need to open with a switch.
Some Varla Stones are enshrined in pedestals that are normally out-of-reach. You can reach these spots with the Acrobatics skill or by shooting at the stone with arrows or spells to knock them out of the pedestal.
