The Nightblade class excels at being stealthy, quick and nimble while still being able to cast magic. Make Athletics a priority to ensure less consumption of Fatigue when running away. Leveling up Destruction skills is helpful to deal against heavy armored enemies when sneaking. Blade is also a priority since you will be mainly using daggers aside from casting spells.

Focus on leveling up Acrobatics too to increase your ways of avoiding enemies and Sneak if you are trying take out enemies stealthily.

To ensure you have some defense, equip light armor to build up experience for the Light Armor skill. You may also want to focus on building up your Restoration skill to ensure you have healing options when in pinch.
