You can now run and sprint in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered, and there are several ways to increase your running speed. Learn how to run and how to increase your run speed here!

Press LS/L3 or Left Shift While Moving Forward to Sprint

Run normally by holding the left stick forward on controller or holding down W on keyboard. To sprint, press the left stick or tap Left Shift while moving forward. Sprinting consumes Fatigue (Stamina), and if you continue attempting to sprint with an empty Fatigue bar, you'll fall over.

You can improve your Fatigue reserves when leveling up by increasing Willpower, which raises your maximum Fatigue, and Agility, which speeds up Fatigue regeneration. Leveling up the Athletics skill also hugely reduces Fatigue cost when sprinting.

Increase your Speed attribute when leveling up to guarantee additional movement speed, especially when sprinting.

Athletics Skill

The Athletics skill increases your movement speed as it levels up, and it can be improved simply by running or swimming during gameplay.

Increasing your Athletics rank also massively reduces the Fatigue cost of sprinting, and at Master Athletics (Skill Level 100), sprinting will not consume any Fatigue at all.

Use Speed Boosting Items, Spells, and Potions

Certain equipment, spells, and potions can boost your Speed beyond the normal 100 cap, allowing you to move at blazing speeds. Items like the Mantle of the Woodsman or Quicksilver Boots provide small Speed bonuses while equipped.

You can also gain powerful but temporary Speed boosts using powers and potions, such as the Redguard’s Adrenaline Rush, Skooma, and other Forify Speed potions and spells.
