Chillrend for Its Base Damage and Frost Enchantment

Chillrend Location

Chillrend the strongest shortsword for its high base damage and powerful Frost enchantment. Each hit deals 20 Frost Damage and also applies Weakness to Frost, making its magic Frost attacks even more effective.

It is a potential reward during The Killing Field side quest. Start this quest by talking to Valus Odiil in Chorrol, who is most often found drinking in The Gray Mare. You can find the inn inside the city, just to the east of the Chorrol South Gate entrance.

During the quest, you must defend his two sons from three waves of Goblin Attacks at Odiil Farm outside the city. You’ll only receive the Chillrend reward if both sons survive the battle. Be sure to save your game before the goblin attack begins.
