How to Use Ingredients
Make Potions Using Apparatus
Ingredients can be used to make potions. Select an apparatus from your inventory such as a mortar and pestle in order to open the potion-making menu.
Each ingredient has different effects, so choose carefully! You need to combine two or more ingredients that share at least one same effect in order to successfully make a potion. The shared effects, both positive and negative, will be the effects of the potion you make.
Combining ingredients that result in only negative effects will create a poison instead of a potion.
Consume from the Inventory
Ingredients can also be consumed directly from the inventory. However, their effects fade much quicker compared to potions.
Raise Alchemy Skill to Unlock Ingredient Effects
The ingredient effects that you can make use of are locked behind your Alchemy skill. A Novice Alchemy skill will only have the first effect of each ingredient unlocked.
An extra effect unlocks as you rank up until you reach the Expert rank in your Alchemy skill, which is when all four ingredient properties are unlocked.
