How to Use Alchemy Apparatus

Select Apparatus from Inventory

Expert Alchemy Apparatus

Alchemy apparatus can be used to make potions and poisons using the ingredients in your inventory. Simply select an apparatus from your inventory to open the potion-making menu.

As long as you have the apparatus in your inventory, its effects will automatically apply to the potions you'll create.

All Apparatus Effects

Apparatus Effect
Mortar and Pestle Allows you to make potions and poisons.
Alembic Reduces the negative effects of potions.
Calcinator Increases all effects of potions and poisons.
Retort Increases all positive effects of potions.

The alembic and retort do not affect poisons, which only have negative effects. Only the calcinator can affect poisons. However, all apparatus affect potions that contain positive effects.

Mortar and Pestle are Required

Creating Potions

A mortar and pestle is required in order to make use of other alchemy apparatus including the alembic, calcinator, and retort. If you do not have a mortar and pestle in your inventory, you will not be able to make potions.
