The console window can be opened by pressing the tilde button (~) usually found below the ESC button on the keyboard. If this key doesn't work for you, you can instead press the slash button (/) beside the right Shift key.
You can open the console window at any point in the game. Though take note that opening it during a conversation or while in a menu may prevent you from using the Enter key for the console commands.

| Example | advskill sneak 50 |
Once the console window is active, you can type your desired console command as well as any parameters you need for it. Press Enter on your keyboard to make this command take effect.
Some commands such as kill and resurrect require you to select a target before pressing Enter. For these, click on your intended target through the translucent console window, type in the command, then press Enter.
For names that have spaces in between, such as the Light Armor skill, the space must be removed when inputting it into a console command.
To close the console and resume your game, simply press the key that opened the console window in the first place. This can be either the tilde button (~) or the slash button (/).
Take note that using console commands and saving your progress will lock you out of achievements for your save file.
