Birthright of Astalon for Mages

The Birthright of Astalon gives you +50 Magicka in your reserves, which is a huge amount equivalent to the Breton's inherent Magicka bonus, as well as a nice +5 Agility bonus. This cuirass is ideal for mages to cast more and ease the burden on Magicka requirements for some spells.

This cuirass can be bought in the Gilded Carafe in Imperial City, from Claudette Perrick. However, it will only be available for purchase if your Mercantile Skill is at 50.

Saviour's Hide grants +25% Magic Resistance, which is great for those needing more magic defense when wearing light armor. This is the perfect choice when going into fights against mages or necromancers. This is also equivalent to the Orc's natural Magic resistance bonus.

This unique cuirass is the quest reward for completing the Hircine Daedric Quest.

The Ayleid Crown of Nenalata grants a +20% Spell Reflect chance, meaning spells that hit you have a chance to deal no damage and instead hit the enemy caster. This is great for both offense and defense. Additionally, it provides a useful +13 to both Alteration and Conjuration, perfect for builds that use these spells.

The crown is one of the quest rewards in the Secrets of the Ayleids side quest.

The Greaves of Resilient Flesh offer strong resistances that are especially useful when dungeon crawling, where you're more likely to face disease-carrying creatures and poison traps. They also provide a solid bonus resistance to normal weapons, helping reduce physical damage taken.

While these can only be found as random loot, they still have some of the best resistances Light Armors can offer.

Monkeypants provides solid boosts to your mobility skills, namely Acrobatics and Athletics. The Drain Willpower is just -5, and will only be detrimental if you are a pure mage build

The Monkeypants can be purchased in the Novaroma store in Bruma, from the shopkeeper Suurootan.

These boots are a reward for completing The Renegade Shadowscale Dark Brotherhood quest.

Generic Glass Shields are the best for they have the highest Armor rating. There are no unique variants, but generic magic versions can be found as random loot.

Among the variants, the Mirror Shield and Hardened Shield stand out as the best, offering excellent protection against magical and physical damage, respectively.
